Below are some slides that document how our members established the Culverhouse Community garden. The photos are in no special order. Float your cursor over the photo to reveal the names of the people in the slide. Find additional recent photos on our Facebook page.
And the following photos are of students from RINGLING COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN.
40 students and RAs spent the morning of 12 July 2014 helping us tidy up the garden and putting the unassigned plots to sleep for the summer. The volunteers braved the sun, a few fire ants, and some thorny weeds while turning over soil, mulching pathways, and planting sweet potato vines. Everyone had a chance to learn about our composting projects and about our amazing solar powered water system. The morning ended with a pizza party. We hope the Ringling students enjoyed being with us as much as we enjoyed being with them.
